Antenna Site Survey and Installation Service

Digital Television (DTV) is here today.  All you need is a TV antenna and a DTV receiver.  There are currently 17 local DFW television stations broadcasting DTV signals.  Seven of those stations are broadcasting a High Definition DTV signal:  ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, PBS, WB, and UPN.  Here is why you want to receive these signals:

bulletThey are FREE!  Stop paying your cable or satellite provider for local channels!
bulletDTV is much higher quality than analog.  Poor analog TV reception is what put the cable and satellite companies in business in the first place.  Now you can receive local network programming in crystal clear digital quality without annoying interference.
bulletHigh Definition TV (HDTV) is available on DTV.  If you have a High Definition (HD) TV set, you will see a vastly improved image.  It is a stunning, jaw dropping experience the first time you see it.  As Mark Cuban says, "It's like being there!"
bulletDTV includes Digital Audio as well, in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound format.  The old analog TV broadcasts had a very poor quality stereo audio signal.  Now you can get true discreet multi-channel surround sound to go with the improved picture of DTV.

If you have an existing TV antenna, I can help you make it work for the new DTV broadcasts.  If you don't have an antenna, I can come to your home and measure the signal strength of the DTV signals you are receiving, and configure an antenna and RF distribution system that will integrate with your existing video and audio system.  If you are a satellite subscriber, I can supply the antenna signal to your HD satellite receiver so it can tune the local HDTV channels also.  In most cases the DTV antenna can be installed out of sight in your attic.  Installation takes only a few hours, and then you can start enjoying the future of television!

ISF Calibration Services

This is a high end tune up for your video system.  I use the very latest state of the art test equipment, including the new Sencore CP5000 Color Analyzer and the new Sencore VP403 HD Signal Generator, to set the user controls and the grey scale tracking on your display.  It is very common for brand new sets to be way out of calibration from the factory.  I recently found a brand new Pioneer Elite 61" RPTV that had white balance set at 10,000 K instead of the standard 6,500K.  There was a blue cast to all the whites.  This was a $6,000 set.  It looked a lot better after calibration.  If your set has not been calibrated in over a year, it is ready for a tune up.  With the new CP5000, accurate grey scale tracking can be achieved on all the new display technologies, including LCD, Plasma, DLP, DILA, as well as CRT.  With the new VP403, I can calibrate all your inputs at resolutions all the way up to High Definition 1080p.  The inputs it will calibrate include NTSC RF, Composite Video, S-Video, Component Video, RGBHV, Computer video inputs, ATSC RF (all the new DTV formats), DVI and HDMI.

Acoustic Design and Calibration Services

We are certified by THX to design home theaters and to perform acoustic calibrations on home theaters.  We are also certified by the Home Acoustics Alliance for acoustic calibrations on both high end audio systems and home theaters.  We use computer modeling and the very sophisticated Sencore SP295 system to measure and adjust your sound system.  If your system has never been professionally tested and calibrated, you are not getting all the performance you paid for from those expensive components.

bulletUse computer simulation to predict room modes.
bulletMeasure room Noise Criteria and identify limiting band, problem noise source
bulletVerify speaker set up, crossover settings, location, direction

Satellite Dish Calibration Service

Have you ever experienced "rain fade", or a loss of signal from your satellite system during a storm?  Most satellite dishes are installed in a big hurry.  As soon as the installer gets a picture, they are off to the next job.  Most installations I find are done in a very sloppy fashion.  This can cause all kinds of problems, including a weak signal that is more susceptible to rain fade.  I can fix most installation problems and correctly align and peak your dish to make it less susceptible to rain fade.  Other problems I frequently see are incorrect grounding of the dish and coax, which can cause hum bars on your video display, and serious safety problems in the event of a lightning strike.  I use a digital protractor accurate to 3 arc minutes, and a dual meter signal strength instrument to correctly and accurately align today's double and triple LNB satellite dishes.  I inspect all grounding for compliance with the National Electrical Code, and locate/correct ground loops.  This is absolutely critical if you want to receive High Definition Television signals from satellite.
